Lovie Lookie Book

I have an addiction. I can't stop reading fashion blogs. They have so many great ideas and unique looks. I wouldn't call my self a fashionista by any regard, but I do find the older I get, the more I like clothes and shoes. I'm finally comfortable with who I am and trying new and unusual things.

How cute is her hair and glasses? Oh and that bow!

I want these Mui Mui Shoes so bad.
Oh and skinny jeans = love.

So simple, so beautiful. I will have to emulate this look sometime.

I'm obsessed with my little black jacket, so this look does it for me.

Such amazing and rich colours and layers. I often like to emulate looks all in black. This would look stunning in black.

As a lover of layers, I think this is just wonderful. Another one that would look great all in black.

Kawaii Tattoos

Twinkie Chan has a new tattoo and it is adorable! I really want to get a tattoo or two or three, but I'm always constantly changing my mind as to what I want. At the moment I adore kawaii tattoos. Twinkie Chan is a perfect example of the cutest tattoos you have ever seen.

Twinkie Chan and her adorable sleeve of ice creams.

A couple of other bloggers with tattoos I envy and adore:

Ladybastard also has this wonderful tattoo with a quote from The Goonies.

The Dainty Squid has this amazing Sewing Machine Chest Piece and Owl Sleeve.

But it's her cute 'Cat Lady' Knuckle Tattoos that I love the most!

Oh if only I could decide! I should just make a giant list of everything I love and go from there *laugh*.

8 Girls Just Isn't Enough

Recently the hubby and I went to a Korean Karaoke Bar for a friends birthday. It was the second time I've been to Chaplin's Karaoke Bar (the first time was for my Hen's Night) and it was still glorious. This time we walked away with a little obsession for a Korean Pop Group called Girl's Generation (aka So Nyeo Shi Dae or SNSD for short). There are nine girls in the group, for times when eight just isn't enough! This particular song called "Gee" is my favourite so far, and their No. 1 Hit I believe. I might even get the album on my iPod so I can rock it at karaoke next time.

The Path of Discovery.

See, this one of the many reasons I adore the internet. In mere moments and a few clicks I discovered a bunch of new websites and a scarf I want to purchase real bad. It started with a look at a Monster-Munch, brought to me by Nicky who makes the most adorable sock monsters and has a love for typography and design.

There is always something shiney to be found there and the first thing that caught my eye was this Imagination Vacation Sweater. Slogan T-shirts are for chumps! Slogan Sweaters all the way!

Now Nicky came upon this delightful piece of eye candy at FFFFOUND! which can always be reliable for all kinds of goodies. The sweater was there quoted as a link from Tina at swissmiss, a brand new find for me.

Swissmiss is a gold mine. Every post from Tina has something of wonder. I've paged back through four pages so far and I've already found so many joys.

ToDryFor - A whole shop just for the most inspiring Tea Towels you have ever seen.

Save Bookmark
- A very simple and cute bookmark that you can print out yourself.

Now for the hero of this story. This wonderful scarf from the Wintercheck Factory. I've recently purchased a Fancypack which is a Fannypack that looks like a big bow but has hidden pockets of joy. It should arrive any day now. I'm so excited and in the mood for other secret ways of carrying my iPhone and other delicates. So when I saw this scarf with pockets, well I was over the moon! I wantz it so badz. I want two even.

So that was my path to discovery. I lovez the internetz.

D&D with Porn Stars, a Stripper, and a Hairdresser.

So the husband alerted me to this my now new favourite web series. The wonderfully geeky and entertaining I Hit It With My Axe. It just cracks me up no end. It just shows women from the Adult Entertainment Industry are people too. Oh and geeks just like the rest of us.

The above episode is a fave so far.  "No defense against blankets" is just funny even if you don't really get Dungeons & Dragons.

I of course now have an big gigantic urge to play old school D&D which hasn't happened since high school. I would want to be all sneaky just like Frankie (who is my fave gal). Rogues rock!

Where is Lori Petty?

There is something soothing about listening to audio books. They flash me back to childhood, memories of my mum reading me a story before going to sleep. So I have this cold right. I'm feeling miserable. So I listening to one of my favourite pulp crime fiction novels One For The Money. I'm listening and laughing and starting to feel better, but something is niggling at me. That voice. Who is this woman reading this story to me. Then bamn! I realise it's smeggin' Tank Girl aka Lori Petty.

This is a movie I watched over and over again in 1995, avoiding doing as much homework as possible. I'm pretty sure my first ever webpage I ever made (Tangent: OMG, I just googled HotDog Web Developer and it looks like it still exists. Funny.) was Tank Girl themed. Anyway, I've stopped listening to the book at this point as my brain has gone off on a little labyrinth of wonder. Where is Lori Petty these days? She kicked ass as Tank Girl. Where O where are you Lori?

Turns out (thanks to IMDB) she's in heaps of random TV stuff I just never saw, and other bits and bobs. She Directed her first movie based on her own life and she's living in California painting up a storm, which is all really cool. I really like her art, it's dark and angsty, but not in the conventional way. Lori was dark and angsty before Emo's stole it and made it bad.

I'm a bit sad not to see her on the big screen these days, but glad to discover she's found other creative outlets and seems to be the same beautiful person I adored her for 15 years ago. Oh and she gives good audio book.

Elvis: The King

Elvis is Da Man. I love him and if he hadn't died three years before I was born, I would want to have his babies. I have finally got some of The King back on my iPod yesterday and I'm in love all over again. I know it's a little daggy, but I'm an Elvis Fan and I'll say it loudly and proudly!

This photo is from part of my honeymoon last year. We road tripped across the United States and one of the stops was Memphis, Tennessee. This sign was in front of the Elvis themed hotel we stayed in right next door to Graceland. Oh I had the grandest, tackiest time. We loved every minute of it. The sign says it all.

Anyway, I have a cold and I'm rambling.  I've started this new blog to release some brain pulp and to hopefully get away from the evil that is taking over Facebook. I guess I'll see how it goes.  I have another blog project One Year Of Movies that I'm a little behind on (for various boring reasons) which I promise to catch up on soon.

Oh my, what a sad sack first post. You gotta start some where. I blame the tiny chickens multiplying in my brain as we speak. Stooooopid cold.
